Prayer Guide Introduction

AN AID TO PRAY FOR AN HOUR

Thank you for answering the call of God to pray one hour a week for the entire year of 2016! You will be praying with many other believers from many churches. What a beautiful picture of our unity in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Our primary focus will be asking the Lord for a heaven-sent revival to awaken His people and bring us back into alignment with His Word and His will and see a mighty move of the Spirit bring a great harvest of souls into His kingdom.

I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7

EXPECT A RICH BLESSING FROM GOD!

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.”

And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”

Psalm 27:8 NLT

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:13

Here's How It Works

1. The year of prayer began January 1st 2016 and will conclude December 31st 2016.

2. Your commitment to pray each week for an hour is between you and the Lord. It should be viewed as a sacred trust. However, don’t be legalistic about this. View your hour of prayer as a wonderful opportunity to get closer to Jesus. He is inviting you to come and spend time with Him.
 Enjoy the journey!

3. You can fulfill your hour of prayer alone, with another person or with a group of believers.

4. Stay encouraged! A year is a substantial amount of time. It is easy to lose your passion for prayer. Therefore, we want to help you stay encouraged by offering opportunities to gather with others who are part of this prayer initiative. Attending these gatherings is in no way mandatory. We offer them – come when you can! You should receive an invitation via email with the details.
• At the start of our year of prayer from 11 p.m. December 31st to 1 a.m. January 1st.
• Periodically during the year.
• At the end of our year of prayer.

Ongoing communication! We also plan to communicate with all participants throughout the year via our web site, email and social media. This will include helpful articles; updates and testimonies. Be sure we have your email address as this will be our primary way of communicating with you.

5. Trust in God! It is He who is calling us to prayer and it is He who will enable us! Pray and ask the Lord to, “strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being.” Ephesians 3:16
